Attorney General
Attorney General is the principal legal advisor to the Government. His role, responsibility, appointment and dismissal are provided for in Article 145 of the Federal Constitution which is from article 145(1) to article 145(4)

Article 145(3) provides for the power of the Attorney General which can be exercised at his discretion, i.e. to initiate, conduct or stop any criminal proceedings involving an offense other than proceedings before the Syariah court, state court or military court.
Article 145(1) provides for the power of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong to appoint a qualified person to be a judge of the Federal Court as the Attorney General and on the advice of the Prime Minister.
Article 145(2) touches on the power of the Attorney General to advise the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, the Cabinet or other Ministers in relation to any law or perform any duty related to the law. The Attorney General also refers to or knows the duties assigned to him by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong or the Cabinet and performs the functions assigned to him by or under the Constitution or any other written law.
article 145, the entire jurisdiction of the Attorney General covers being the main advisor on the law to the government. The Attorney General is also the public prosecutor and is authorized to initiate, conduct or terminate any criminal proceedings except in the Syariah Court, the Bumiputera Court and the Military Court. The Attorney General is also responsible for drafting legislation for the Federal Government and is also the lawyer for the government in court and has the right to be heard in any court. The attorney general is also tasked with drafting Parliament's bills.
Article 145(3A) provides the legal power to authorize the Attorney General to determine the court to conduct any proceedings and the attorney-in-fact is empowered to initiate proceedings as provided for in article 145(3) and if there are other proceedings to be conducted in court that, then the proceedings need to be transferred.
article 145(4) states that in carrying out his duties the Attorney General is entitled to be heard in any court or tribunal in the Federation and shall be given priority over any other person appearing before the court or tribunal.
