Furnace-Operator, Annealing Glass operate or tend heating equipment other than basic metal, plastic, or food processing equipment. Includes activities such as annealing glass, drying lumber, curing rubber, removing moisture from materials, or boiling soap.

Kiln-Operator, Brick and Tile loading green bricks, tiles and such other clay products in the kiln for baking. Stacking products such as blocks, bricks and roofing tiles, in the specified patterns in periodic kilns for burning. Spacing and leveling setting rings in the kiln to facilitate circulation of air around the products during burning.

Kiln-Operator, Pottery and Porcelain operating a kiln for the baking of pottery and porcelain ware to proper the hardness or heating glazed or decorated articles to obtain the requisite shining and hard surface. Supervising the lighting of fires in kiln. Regulating the feeding of fuel and adjusting the draught to maintain the proper temperature. Observing the temperature indicators and deciding accordingly when baking is completed.

Mixer, Clay cast and finish concrete products, operate machines to extrude, mould, press and bake clay products, and operates machines to form, cut and finish stone products.   

Clay Maker, Pottery Tends machines and equipment that mix materials, for example clay, iron oxide, magnesium, and water according to formula for use in making brick or ceramic floor tile. Gathers materials specified by work order from storage area and transports materials to scales, using handtruck or industrial truck. 

Maker, Fibreglass control and maintain the machine that sprays a mix of resin and glass fibers onto products such as bathtubs or boat hulls to obtain strong and lightweight composite end-products.

Maker, Glaze Set up, operate, or tend machines to crush, grind, or polish materials, such as coal, glass, grain, stone, food, or rubber.

Maker, Glass Tube Glass forming machine operators operate and maintain machines that press or blow molten glass in moulds to form or shape products, such as neons, bottles, jars and drinking glasses.

Mixer, Glass weighing ingredients such as sand, soda, potash, cullet (waste glass) to get prescribed quantities. Dumping ingredients in revolving drum of machine using hand shovel. Mixing the ingredients in revolving drum for melting into glass. Collecting batch samples for laboratory tests.

Polisher, Plate-Glass polishing edges or surfaces of flat glass, using polishing wheels. Pouring polishing compound into hopper of automatic feeder or applying compound to polishing wheel with brush. Holding and turning glass edge or engraved or bevelled surface against white (cork) polishing wheel for rough polishing. Pressing glass edge or scratched, engraved or bevelled surface against felt polishing wheel for final polishing or to remove scratches.

Plant Operator Grade H11 Responsible for the operation of the department's static plant/machinery whether steam boilers or internal combustion engines, scheduled/periodic maintenance on boilers, boiler safety procedures and management of support systems related to boilers as provided in regulations in force under the Safety Act and Occupational Health 1994 and the Factories and Machinery Act 1967.

Boiler Operator, Ship maintain heating systems such as low-pressure boilers, high-pressure boilers and power boilers. They work mostly in large buildings like power plants or boiler rooms and ensure a safe and environmentally friendly operation of boiler systems.

Fire Operator, Ship maintain and operate various types of steam engines, boilers, turbines and auxiliary equipment to provide power and other utility services for commercial, industrial and institutional buildings, at work sites and aboard ships.

Operator, Steam Boiler Plant maintain and operate various types of steam engines, boilers, turbines and auxiliary equipment to provide power and other utility services for commercial, industrial and institutional buildings, at work sites and aboard ships.

Boilerman Grade K2 maintain and operate various types of steam engines, boilers, turbines and auxiliary equipment to provide power and other utility services for commercial, industrial and institutional buildings, at work sites and aboard ships.

Competent Person (CP) - Internal Combustion Engine Driver operate and maintain internal combustion engines CERTIFICATE:i/ Internal Combustion Engine Driver Grade 2ii/ Internal Combustion Engine Driver Grade 1 MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND COURSE DURATION:i/  a) Age 19 years old and above and    b) 2 years experienced as internal combustion engineer Attendant and    c) Pass JKKP Assessment ii/ a) Hold a Grade 2 certificate for more than 18 months and    b) In charge of observation of operation of internal combustion engines with a capacity exceeding 1000kW but not exceeding 5000kW

Operator, Carton operate machines which pack, label and, if needed, add revenue stamps to products, packages and containers, or inspect finished products or parts in compliance with manufacturer's standards, finish and appearance.

Packer collect, pack and label goods and materials by hand. They ensure that all goods and materials are packed according to instructions and requirements.
